The Shops at Atlas Park 

Glendale, Queens. 

2004 project, while working for the world-renowned firm M. Paul Friedberg & Partners (MPFP, LLC) Michael assisted as the Project Architect in developing the master plan for this mixed-use retail complex. The 10-acre development was designed as a retreat of open-air terraces, sheltered walkways with cafes, boutiques and bistros with 110,000 square feet of office space.

The complex is organized around an ellipse park that includes shade gardens, an interactive fountain and a lawn amphitheater for small performances. Other amenities include a European-style food market and seasonal public programming for all plazas and parks.

As a Queens native, working on this project was very special to Michael and it helped shape his design style on many future projects.
