The goal is to establish a cohesive plan that aligns with the client’s preferences and the site’s characteristics. Concurrently, a thorough assessment of the site is conducted, examining factors such as climate, soil conditions, topography, existing vegetation, and drainage patterns. A preliminary construction budget is typically done at this phase before finalizing the next phase of drawings. 

  • The initial concepts are refined into detailed designs. This includes selecting specific materials, plants, and other elements, as well as creating precise drawings and specifications (planting plans, drainage & grading plans, material plans etc.). This stage ensures that the design is both practical and aligned with the client’s expectations. 

  • Comprehensive documents are prepared to guide the construction process. These typically consist of detailed plans, sections, material schedules, and specifications necessary for contractors to accurately implement the design. Our in-house designers or our civil engineering partners will put together all the necessary permit paperwork and submittals to ensure a smooth transition to obtain approved permits for their project. 

  • With the plans in hand, the project moves into the construction phase. We work together with our landscape professional partners and contractors to bring the design to life, adhering closely to the documented plans and specifications and approved permit documentation. 

  • After construction, ongoing maintenance is essential to ensure the landscape matures as intended. This may involve regular care routines and periodic evaluations to address any emerging issues.
